Walk the mile to show support for shelter animals! The walk is a more leisurely physical endeavor than the 5K run, and it is perfect to do with friends if you’d like to chat, and of course, walk with your dogs.

The Save a Stray One-Mile Walk kicks off in Puffin Park, next to L.L.Bean’s Bike, Boat and Ski store in Freeport. Get directions

WHEN

Saturday, August, 24, 2024. Check-in begins at 7:00 a.m. on Main Street, next to the Bike, Boat & Ski store. The One-Mile Walk begins from that location at 8:00 a.m.

REGISTRATION

Online Registration will be available until 7:30am on Saturday, August 24th. Please note that the price of day-of registration increases from $30 to $35.

You may register the day of the event at our registration table on the L.L.Bean campus on Main Street, next to the Bike, Boat & Ski store in Puffin Park (See Map) beginning at 7:00 a.m. Registration the day of the event is $35 per person.

T-SHIRT PICK UP

T-shirts can be picked up on Friday, August 23 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the BEAN BOOT on the L.L.Bean campus. We will also accept additional registrations at that time.
