Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finisher in eight different age groups.

Think your dog is the best? Compete against other dogs and owners in these contests just for canines… and go home with prizes! Dog/owner pairs are welcome to compete in more than one category. No need to register in advance — just show up at the stage!

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Save A Stray 5K Festival, Discovery Park, L.L.Bean
Tour Discovery Park to see the attractions! Animal Communicator, Louise MacQueen, will be onsite to do readings, and we’ll have Facepainting, an Enrichment Toy Station, and a Doggie Kissing Booth! You’ll have a chance to meet Columbo from the Adventures of Columbo, hear from the Cumberland Animal Rescue Team, and visit our sponsors from Wilcox Wellness & Training, Geico: Ashley Bullard, and High Tail Toys! Stop by the Midcoast Humane booth to check out items for sale, enter a raffle, and ask our KPA Certified Trainer, Ben Bricker, any questions you may have regarding your pup (or cat)! Enjoy delicious food from participating food trucks include Roaming Eats, Lucky Lou’s, and Smokin’ Phil’s Belly Busting BBQ, and of course don’t forget about Dock Dogs!
